Course Overview

The purpose of the Level 2 Care Diploma is to confirm occupational skills for adult care workers or healthcare support workers. This qualification is vocationally based and, as such, offers learners the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and practical skills necessary to be an adult care worker in an adult care setting or a health care assistant; Support Worker or Personal Assistant in a healthcare support environment.

Entry Requirements

  • The qualification was designed to be accessible without artificial obstacles restricting access and progress. Entry to the qualifications will be through the interview centre, and learners must be able to demonstrate the qualification requirements and have access to the necessary assessment opportunities and relevant resources.
  • Centres will conduct initial screening exercises for learners to ensure that this is an acceptable certification and that they are able to achieve the standard they will be studying before they are enrolled in a learning program.
